The Hitch Box is a new concept in ski racks. The Hitch Box is more convenient to use than roof top boxes and provides more security than conventional ski racks. The Hitch Box will soon replace Thule, Yakima and Barrecrafter roof top racks. The Hitch Box rides behind your vehicle, at bumper height, mounted in your 2" square trailer hitch. The hitch Box does not rob you of gas mileage.

The clean dry storage in the Hitch Box is ideal for extra luggage or your shopping purchases. The 10 square foot top of the HB70.5 is great for the coolers or beach chairs.

Secure your gear with the keyed lock integrated into the stainless steel paddle latch system. Your valuable tools or purchases are secure. If each of you have a key, either of you can go back to the parking lot to stow your purchases. Your items will be out site of thieves. The paddle latch system secures the lid at two places to hold the lid tightly closed against the weather and thieves. (Two keys are provided with each toolbox)

PICKUP TRUCK TOOLBOX

When you are working, the HB70.5 will hold shovels, rakes, and all the garden tools. There are some things that you just don't want to carry in the vehicle - put them on the lid. The 10 square feet on top of the box is great for the ice chest or larger tools.

Save the climbing for the rock wall. Secure your gear with the keyed lock integrated into the stainless steel paddle latch. This feature is especially useful on the job. Brief description of the Hitch Box:
The Hitch Box is constructed of 1/8" thick 3003 Brite aluminum tread plate. All fasteners in the toolbox are stainless steel. The lid support is stain less steel.
When you buy a HITCH BOX you get everything you need, the toolbox, the Extender, safety changes, one hitch pin and four bolts with washers and lock washers.
The Extender used to mount the Hitch Box is structural steel tubing. Attachment bolts are Grade #5.
There will be open holes in the channel in the bottom of the box, but because of their location, grit, road dirt and water are not drawn into the box.
The license plate of your vehicle may be obscured by the Hitch Box.
The installation takes a few minutes. All hardware is provided. The only thing you need is a wrench to tighten the bolts.
To preserve the shine of your Hitch Box, polish it with commercially available aluminum polish.
