Installation Instructions

Tools Needed: 3/4" Wrench

1.  Position the extender in the trailer hitch receiver. Use the bolts with lock and flat washers to secure it in the receiver. Tighten bolts firmly. It is best to alternate from right to left rather than completely tighten one then the other. Attach safety chain.
2.  Mount the Hitch Box on to the extender as close to the bumper as possible. Slide the Hitch Box to align the taped hole in the extender with a hole in the channel in the Hitch Box. Install the hitch pin and safety pin. Close the lid of the Hitch Box and confirm that the tail gate is not obstructed.
3.  Open the Hitch Box and install both bolts with lock and flat washers. Tighten bolts firmly as described in step 1.Confirm that the safety chains are attached and the box is securely attached.
4.  Load your gear. The Hitch Box will carry as much as the tongue weight rating of your hitch, but the load must be centered and balanced equally from right to left**

*On vehicles with exhaust that point to the rear, the Hitch Box should be at least 3” from the exhaust. Restriction of the exhaust may decrease vehicle performance.

** Check the load frequently. Confirm that the bolts are tight and that the safety chain is attached.
